Info on the uk release ?

Hey this is probably in the wrong section but i need to know how much the uk release will cost as all ive heard is about the american release so tell me please !!

Wait! So steam doesn't factor in different currencies? Does that mean people in the UK pay almost twice as much for a game as Americans? (since the pound is worth a little over 1.5x the dollar) That is not very nice.

 

Im willing to pay alot for a game of this size!!!!

I'm pretty sure Steam works on USD. I live in Australia and all my Steam purchases are converted from AUD to USD. Is there another UK Steam client?

 

No but there should be considering the EU have passed legislation regarding pre-owned digital media,US has yet to recognise this tho.

Steam does not control regional prices, publishers do. I believe Steam has 7 pricing regions (Australia/NZ, North America/other, UK, Europe 1, Europe 2, Russia/CIS, and Brazil) and publishers set their own prices in each region. That's why you see some games that are more expensive in Europe, while others are more expensive in the US. It's a complex topic but it pretty much boils down to how much people can afford or are willing to pay in each region based off of historical prices and the local economy.

In any case, I expect Chucklefish to price the game fairly across each region.

 

my purchases are Pounds so yeah there is a uk version

 

to give you a clear awnser you are looking at;
£6.50-£10

(using a rough conversion rate of £1GPB = $1.5 USD)
whatever it's gunna be dirt cheap for how comprehensive and complete the game seemingly will be by time of release.

 

i know i would pay more for this game so i love the developers !!! this game is gonna be amazing

 

just watch the price on EU (tier 1) and US when a new game is released, and be prepared to be told you're wrong :\

what's tier 1 you ask? poor countries (which are in a lower tier) pay less with the same currency for the same game.

 

uk and usa are tier 1 ? arent they well sort of well off ?
