Info About Whats Left to be Done in the Game Released

I think September or later does sound like a reasonable estimate based on what they still need to work on, but that won't stop me from hoping for summer. I'll actually have time to play in the summer and practically none in September. Also wouldn't want to play without some of the things on the list. Pets are going to be super important for me, so I'm glad they are working on that. I also wouldn't mind smarter NPCs and more lore.

they can add a lot of things post release including pets and although i think pets are a necessity they can wait.

 

I suppose so, but I'd be pretty bummed. Your response did get me thinking about another thing though, do you think they will add more races to the game post release?

Meanwhile, Tiy tweets that he feels very good about Starbound. It all is getting better and better.

 

It's funny how I usually feel as if time was running fast, but when I remember about Starbound, it suddenly becomes soooo slooow it hurts.

Since these tweets, Ive become slightly more hopeful that we won't have to wait until Q3-4 to play. I think my head just might explode if I have to wait any longer.

I am going to club 1 baby seal for day the game isn't released starting April 1st.

 

For me I feel like we NEEEEEED a beta in early 2013, that being the first half of the year. The only way I'd be at all dissapointed would be if the beta is released in october or further. I'm not supposing that they'll release the game before then, but the beta. Either way I'm looking forward to this more than christmas, easter, halloween, and my birthday altogether.

Well, I ASSUME that they'd finish and polish everything before releasing the beta, because the beta would MOST LIKELY be for finding bugs that the devs. never found or happened to overlook. That being said, the full game won't be released until late 2013 or EVEN 2014 (probably not, though). But what ever, people will still the buggy version anyways. And plus, if they're gonna try and release the beta as close to the full game as possible, it will not likely be a problem.

 

Since the lore is a work in progress, I asked demanrisu about something. And he answered. He said that humans are going to be the only race with a history of rap music.

Actually Tiy confirmed that it'll be in 2013. So hopefully we'll see it in late summer.

 

It's nice to know what's done, what needs to be done and what needs tweaked. It shows how much work is being put into the project itself. Makes the waiting even more worth it in the end.

 

If it comes out on my birthday...I might literally explode.

 

can people stop talking in seasons there are people from both hemispheres in this community.

 

Sometimes I forget that in the southern hemisphere the seasons are switched.
I feel bad for you guys, 'cause most TV shows, movies, books, etc use Northern Hemisphere seasons!
