I'd trade in my Pixels to craft them, a much better way then stealing them from you by giving you those by default.

And besides, if you haven't really looked closely at my Avatar, and Signature, you can guess what my Standard Clothes will be like ;P

 

That would certainly work. Only during Christmas though, of course. It surely shouldn't be too hard to restrict it based on dates. If Minecraft can do it, surely Starbound can.

I wouldn't be averse to being able to obtain Christmas items for a few days after the update either actually. Just to make up for the wipe.

to support the devs. that they can make a good game with the key-elements they promised... a space RPG with story and quests set in a retro styled vast universe


to the guy who "cleared out" a lot... you shouldn censor posts from peaple who say their true opinion about the actual state of this game. this is what a forum is all about. is it some kind of US-style to do so? This "If you dont have anything nice to say, then say nothing at all" is so much contraproductive. 1 Mio "super super" comments are already enough. What kind of useful feedback to improve things could the Devs possibly draw from that???

That's an okay Reason to have. - But you can't know at this Stage if they are going to Deliver on the Points you Supported them for or not.
Give it time, watch the Game develop and make your Judgement in a more Friendly matter, i'm sure a lot of People wouldn't mind Critique as long as it's constructive.

As Chucklefish are primarily a UK ( woohoo go team UK lol ) based co
the patch wont realistically happen before 90am uk time (avg work start time) then add on boiling kettle making tea/coffee monday morning meeting reboiling kettle for next tea coffee and biscuits (nom nom nom) that will take us to (conservative guess) 11:00 am
so i think i am safe to leave the comp till 110 as i cant see it happening before then unless there is a hiccup which delays it till after lunch or tomorrow

I don't even sleep, tomorrow it will be one week after the last post. i can't even wait. My life is hopeless, none can hear me in the empty space. You make a lot of good points, at the cost of sounding a little know-it-all-ey in the first half (no offense intended, trying to be constructive)
My dilemma is that I had no problem with my stuff getting wiped knowing it was all gonna get wiped again, and the fresh starts really felt fresh. But I didn't expect losing all my motivation to play once they say that the wipes are gonna stop. My brain just goes "Don't bother, after the update you can really get invested! If you start now you're just gonna get dissapointed by what you probably won't find again" which kinda sucks =\ I want to play but suddenly it feels like a waste of time. It's a really wierd, unexpected reaction so i've been really frustrated by (what feels like an) agonizing wait for them to upload the dang update. It's like getting a 5 meter practice run on a hundred meter dash, if that makes any sense.

 

Starting over from scratch will have some perks for me. Better designed house and item organizing this time! Last time I just kinda threw things everywhere. I've only been playing about a week. Being able to set your own teleports on a planet you've explored would save a LOT of walking time to revisit merchants and to scavenge and strip down sacked places. And maybe save time jumping down and back up while mining. A way to know which worlds you've been to and to make notes on their features would be useful. Maybe also the ability to rename worlds... at least within your own ship's nav. So instead of typing in coordinates, you can type in your nickname for a world and go! Anyway, that's my few thoughts so far!
