Info about the upcoming patch!

The reason, the only reason why nobody is discussing this with you or is flaming you is your absolutely frustration driven, insulting und demeaning way to describe your problem.
No one is arguing that keybinding is a necessary think or that there are a few people (very few) that absolutely can't play this game without it.

All of your posts are filled with these things:

-you are a very (!) professional programmer
-you are a professional beta tester
-you coded the crap out of everything before any of of was even born
-you absolutely know exactly what you are talking about, which means also that:
* every one of us has no idea about any kind of coding
* the devs have no idea about conding their own game (because keybinding is easy to add and you know what you're talking about)

All these angry posts (for which you already apologized, nothing changed in that matter) and your constant way of showing off your experience is the reason why no one want's to talk to you about this matter.
I don't let you accuse me of beeing selfish. This is just not the reason why you are not heard.

I personally don't need keybindings just yet but I can really understand why some people do and I hope for these people that it will be added quickly.

 

Good god I hope the rain coming through the roof if it's not on screen is fixed. Can't have any fireplaces or anything that emits light on the ground because of it.

 

NOW i'm really ready for the Patch, because i know my Boyfriend is going to be all like "Ohhhh mahhh Gawwwd, damn you Chucklefish, my Character is gone! AGAIN!"

But... why did you buy the Game KNOWING FULL WELL that the Game in it's Early Access State isn't Finished.

And besides, it's not like Chucklefish is stealing the Mods. - They Implement useful Mods to the Base Game, and are asking the Mod Developers if they get the Okay to add it. I see nothing wrong with that.

Point is, the Game is simply not finished, you know that, i know it. Everyone does. - So there is really no point in coming here and complaining about the Game not having Content.

 

Yea, first thing I did was try and change the key layout. I'm a lefty, so the space bar makes the old wrist hurt after a few hours of jumping.

 

So ignoring the trolls...anyone know when this patch is?

 

A good estimate has been Tuesday. Could be Wednesday, or Monday though... depends on your time zone.

 

Probably on the 20th, or 21st.

This game is currently in beta. They're working on it so it will eventually happen. You might just have to be patient, as difficult a concept as that might be.

 

Unfortunately, that's bout 95% of he posts in this thread. The other 5% being "great job, can't wait!".

Really loving Starbound, i have stopped playing on my character and am now eagerly awaiting the new patch.
Keep up the fantastic work, game is coming along really well.
