Info about the upcoming patch!

Well. i good with new update. now i got good idea how to play it and i did get to end. it not really a lost. now with better idea make me better player

 

On December 4th there was a mighty sneeze and with this sneeze came StarBound. With each sneeze comes a hanky. In the past StarBound has had a hanky pass over it allowing it to begin anew. Now is the time though when the Great Hanky shall make its final pass and with it, we will thrive.

Enjoying the BETA immensely at the moment.
Can't wait for the persistent farming to be implemented, I'm currently using a mod for it.
But as with a lot of people, I would rather wait longer between patches and have the devs doing what they do, and doing it well rather than it being rushed.
So keen for the Character wipe. I mean, I'll lose my poor little dude, but the universe is full of possibilities and who's to say he won't get cloned

 

Can you not do the character wipe and world wipe separate so that I have a way of still keeping all my items by using my current character to put all the stuff in the new world in chests, and then wipe my character who can then go back and collect the items from the chests in the new world?

 

I'm just hoping for customizable key binding in this next version.

 

Hopefully this update also brings an end to the Holiday Spirits dropping??
The holidays are over and i rather have pixels dropping instead of them Holiday spirits. Thnx

 

your right unless they leave them in for 1 week after this update just so we can remake all the pretty storage boxes err i mean presents

"New game modes! Permadeath and drop-everything-on-death modes"

Hold on HOLD ON, maybe this was mentioned already, but I'm not certainly not gonna sift through all these comments, the game is QUITE hard as is, even a "drop everything" mode is gonna make the game EXTREMELY unpleasant, no one is gonna play it after a few days. Sure there might people defending, even claiming they can do it, but you won't EVER play with such skilled people online! (Because they DON'T EXIST!)

Before any idiot starts arguing with me about this, I'm a gaming masochist, (or I borderline am), and I still think this is NOT reasonable at all! I'm calling this RIGHT now, its gonna be an IGNORED feature of the game!

 

Stop making me, so dependent, of that game....

 

Hi, Molly ) I'm asking you about Ship size . It's REALLY SMALL , and one more thing about the ship . The SECURITY ! Because everyone ( somehow ) can get on my ship while I am on the server , and it's really bad , cause they're trying to loot my ship , and I DONT want that , please do something with it , or just respond . Thanks !)

Where are the Admin Commands?
Please not again a patch without multiplayer improvements and admin commands. Hosting a Server wihtout Mods is currently just a mess...

Ignored feature or not, or perhaps a feature you choose not to use. Having it in there will allow some players to experiment with different play styles. It will alter the way some people play when using that type of game mode. So I personally feel that it does have its place in the game. If people are playing a character and wandering around with some valuable loot it will make them think twice about venturing further with it, or return to base. Same goes with permadeath. Making one feel even more so cautious and concerned for their character. Therefore it can actually add another layer to the game, and added immersion.

This is purely just my opinion of course.

 

I just cant wait for permadeath...i wish they implemented that in some cool way, as for example http://community.playstarbound.com/index.php?threads/permadeath-mode-and-a-narrative-for-it.60027/ this would increase(if i can say that about that kind of games)immersion drastically but i will love any kind of permadeath .

 

I think these changes are great, but i kinda want an official creative mode to be in here. it needs a better filter system on the crafting table like item type tabs or Tier tabs rather than "rarity" color tabs, because the mod community's creative mode can cause lag and crashes due to the sheer amount of items on the crafting list and the lag makes it near impossible to type in the name properly.

 

Yes please, get rid of these holiday spirits!
