But where are the Novakids? next patch seems good looking forward to it

Sadly, as with the other Stretch Goals, the Novakid race probably won't be in the game-as stated by the devs before-until at least Stage 3 of the Beta.

 

Well at least they will come eventually I'm a patient guy

 

I don't mind the character wipes, right now. I've been modding since the first week after it was released, so I haven't played much at all! I was waiting until more content was uploaded before playing again!

 

It's early access and clearly states so in steam. It's not a finished product. So it is 'good enough' - some of us lefties are just fine.

 

So with the 'last' wipe about to happen, now is a good time to start this game?

Fully agree Ludovic, and also to add to what you said here: I feel people tend to forget this game is still Early Release/Alpha/Beta whatever. You want to cry about the game and/or what they're doing go play something else and come back when it's a fully released game. Then you can nit pick at bugs and how they handle bug fixes, and in this case (ridiculously enough) how change logs are handled.

I personally love this game, even with bugs.
I will gladly accept when they do character wipes / world wipes because I accepted things like that when I paid FIFTEEN DOLLARS for a game that's NOT COMPLETE.
Anyway, /rant that is all etc.
Keep up the awesome work! Can't wait to play the new content / patch!

 

Glad to hear a lot of bugs are gonna get squished in the next patch, also happy to hear about the backward compatibility stuff. That will make me more inclined to play the game more

I have over 225 Hours in now and the beta isn't even done with Stage 1 yet haha

Saw that on his twitter. So for those of you that think this patch is lacking then have hope, the future is probably bright.

 

Not that I am saying I don't believe the Devs, but this is still early Beta. I, personally, would not be surprised if there does happen to be another character and/or ship wipe. If anyone is foolish enough to believe that there is no possible way another total wipe could need to occur before Beta is over... well...

There are still two stages of Beta to go through. WHO KNOWS what could happen during those.

 

Will you guys be fixing the full screen glitch on mac osx mavericks? when i click full screen it goes smaller, and it never actually goes full-full screen just bigger.

also, when are you guys going to add secure chests so people stop partying and raiding ships for equipment then ditching party? Is a major multiplayer issue right now that I'd address before anything, can lose a lot of fan base that way.

 

im currently clocked about 114 hours and still counting am very excited about the news, time to sort out the actual planning of my mega building (hopefully not on a biome they might delete

 

Personally, i think it's a great game already!

I just stopped playing it, cause i didn't wanna grow tired of it... and because, there are soo many other great games out there


But don't get me wrong, i've already got 100+ hours on my steam for Starbound... i just held a break, so i could come back, when there wouldn't be anymore wipes

 

Definitely a Metal Gear fan....

 

Sounds Awesome!!! No More Wipes Yeah!!!! Can't wait, but take your time, it's worth it. Would love to see bigger ships implemented with this without the need to mod them in, even if it's only the next upgrade size up. It'll make keeping essential's on the ship much easier.
