Would you rather have the planets be infinite, just have it end at the edge of the screen, or have it loop around like an actual planet?
It has already been confirmed that planets will loop and that there will be planets that are infinite.
It was never "confirmed" that confirmation you speak of is a quote from a developer that iirc either used the word "may" or "considering" and was posted well back before multiple confirmations of looped planets from the developers.
Infinite planets are so rare mentioning them is a little bit of a waste of time... Although it'd be cool to find one.. without going forever, how do you know it's infinite? When you go to a planet will the size be stated on the computer in the shuttle?
They mention "can" -- that means it merely has the ability to support it. Just like Windows can dual-boot with Linux, but doesn't come with it Where, in what stream...? *Lackofinfo*
Is it really that hard to go through the stream and find one of the times Tiy changed planets? The menu he used to travel between planets displayed size and difficulty. It didn't give a lot of info, but it said small, large, huge, etc.
I'm really looking forward to the first time I stumble back upon my little house after walking around the whole planet!
Infinite seems weird. A planet can't be infinitely big! Unless there's some kinda spacetime anomaly/distortion/thing? But.... it might be kinda cool anyway. I'm not sure how I feel about it. Maybe just... insanely big planets? like.... 1 million blocks wide by 300 thousand blocks high? (For comparison, large worlds on Terraria are 8400 blocks wide and 2400 blocks high) I'm not sure.
