Infection, Virus and Medicines

    ok hear me out now....we could find some kind of virus in other planets and even caught deceases by them. the cure should be made made by examinating the virus and producing an medicine for it.

    the animals from the planet may or may not be infected by that virus, and the enviroment too, so you could even exterminate this virus from the planet with some effort. you can use this to take care about diving in strange planets without protection or even get in contact with unknown plants and animals.

    ps: a virus should work as an spreading and unlimited decease, if you caugh it, you HAVE to take care of it, the virus will not come out of your body without some medicine. also, if there's a virus on the planet, you have to destroy or cure every single infected creatures or plants or even blocks that is infected, so you could erase the virus from the actuall planet and make an cure so you could be imune or at least ressist to that virus if you find it in another planet

    I like the virus idea but i see it diferently :
    When you go on a planete, you don't birth on it, so you're not immune to it viruses, so in some infected area (specific biome) in some gas if gas are implemented, or when betten by some creature (sleeping infected transmetor) you get the virus and it give you some effect (life loss or any other dot) depending on the virus you can cure yourself naturaly with time (not for all virus) or find a way to cure it. (local creature are generally immune or at least very resistant to there local desease, so looting creature drop in infected biome is a good start for a cure)

    If you go far from the origin of the virus (deep undergound for a see level virus or back to ground for a deep underground virus) or more, if you go to an other planete with an ancured virus (and why not a small chance to keep it in sleeping state because you become resistant but don't eradicate it)... so when you go far from the origin of the virus, it will spread to every near/beating creature/npc (depending the virus virality) so change planete without curing his virus could change neutral npc to hostil npc cause you're the origin of a new desease on there planete, or you wake up a deep forgeted virus... but it also could be a tactic to easly eradicate some mob/hostil npc with some virus you have but you're resistant on them, but not your opponents.


    I don't know if it's a good thing to add it in the core game for balance issue but it could be ansome as a mod/extension/dlc


    And i think it would not be possible to eradicate a virus without eradicate it's original biome.

    i see your point, but it could be more simple, just an debuff or that kind of thing.....you could caugh an virus from diving in an unknown planet and you have to examinate it for the cure... and thats it, its simple and not too complicated and even makes sense for being in the final game

    also its a good idea for some kind of diversity, because you'll not jump in all planet without precaution and take care about its biomes and that kind of stuff

    We could combine this with the DNA splicing suggestion...
    You could make a supervirus with enough effort, or try to get enough DNA fragments to make a vaccine.

    i dont know... my opinion is that if we leave an sugestion simple and constructive, like "it makes sense" or "its simple to implement" we have more chances to get the developers to actually implement them, cause they have A LOT of work these days and i dont know if ill manage to see my sugestion in the game.

    but its the only sugestion i REALY want to see in the game, its constructive and functional and also makes the game more interesting, yes it could be cool seeing it combined with other features but still we have to make it clear that the developers can make this feature with no effort, making the developing of the game way more easy.

    I like the idea of very mild status effects that don't go away over time, and instead get more severe over time until you remove them.

    That way you might not want to try to remove it too quickly because another mob could just infect you again, but if you wait too long before removing it then the symptoms would gradually build up and become more severe. It would be a very interesting twist on the traditional poison status ailment, but of course both ailments should be in the game.

    I like the idea of a virus debuff, but it might not be best to have the virus get more severe (nor get better, actually). It's reasonable to have a system where the virus stays and constantly has its effect until the player finds and consumes medication.

    i like the idea of viruses, when you go on a new planet, you have to make antibiotics or the disease will kill you or maim you in someway, you also need to provide for your pets :0
