Yep i know , and if you are on the Broken Quest, you need to delete PlayerQuest from the Universe to start over

Recipes aren't being given to me when they should be. I cant continue to progress because i don't have the recipe for insulated copper cables. And the first time it was the seeding table recipe. Is there a cheat to give me all the recipes for this mod?

Gonna go delete my universe folder again.

 

Are you even Researching?

 

It's really unnecessary to say it's inspired from Minecraft. Like everyone knows this already...Everyone in here has probably played Minecraft at least once.

 

No i haven't been. I didn't think i needed to with the quest dialog.. Maybe it should say to build a research table before it told me to build a machine block. Since its supposed to be researched before it could be built?

I'm new just trying to follow the quest line to figure this out.

 

Hi i have just downloaded this mod and upon playing i dont seem to have very many new crafting options and all ores other than coal and diamond have been entirely replaced by precious mineral ores. Can anyone help me figure out what i have done wrong?

I can try First of all, if you want to see the questline for this mod, delete your PlayerQuests file in your Universe folder. It will reset your quest.
In order to unlock the items associated with this mod, you must unlock the recipe for "Research Table" by picking up a vanilla crafting table.
Craft the research table and buy the prototypes to advance the research line until it unlocks the items you want/need to craft. Hope this helps

 

Hi thankyou, im now getting the items but i still have no ores on any planet i visit other than the new ones added by the mod, coal and diamond.

 

Could we maybe have some details on how you have ore generation set to now? I feel like I can't find anything but coal on the surface any more.

 

I have been down to the core of planets and nothing but gems

 

I have been to a few planets and have found scarce amounts of tin ore and sapphire. That's it so far. Also, when the quest for Starmap Mk2 is completed, no more quests appear.

 

I found out why they are not spawning, because the mods ore distribution file has set them all to zero on all worlds.

 

Ohh I see. I didn't notice because I haven't gone mining since the update. Right before the update, I went on a gigantic mining expedition. It took an hour and a half for us to convert the raw ores into ingots and jewel. To be fair, it wasn't just because we mined thousands of ores, but our machines weren't quite optimal yet.

That's unlucky ): I don't know how you can even advance if the ores you need aren't being generated. hopefully it gets fixed soon.

 

The new Update features a Re-written quest line


Ore Generation and what happened?

I've wanted to Re-balance the ores, due to the fact the further you go, better tech + Denser ores make life far too easy, with the rebalance of the ores, i wanted it to be slightly hard, but as you progress through tech, makes it slightly easier

For instance, here are the Layers on planets

1. Surface Ores (What you'd normally see, when exploring on the surface)
2. Sub Surface Ores (usually spawns as you start digging down)
3. Deep Surface ores (i believe its when you start hitting alot of cobble)

Now, the next bit (I could be wrong) varies on the size of planets, smaller ones have less tiers than of the Larger ones

1. Depth1 (Smaller or something)
2. Depth2 (Medium planets)
3. Depth3 (Usually on larger planets)

Now, here is what i'I've changed

1. Coal will appear common on "Surface" and "Subsurface" at "1.00" and "1.10"
2. "Sub surface" slightly begins to spawn "Tin" and "Copper" ore at "0.60", silver also spawn at "0.30"
3. "Deep Surface" Coal generate at "1.20", along with "Tin" and "Copper".
4. "Deep Surface" "Gold", "Silver" and "Iron" will now spawn at "1.00", followed by "Platinum" at "0.40"
5. "Depth1" All known Ores will Generate at "1.20" and "1.00"
6. "Depth2" All known ores have been reduced by half "0.60" and "0.50", Gems are now appearing at "0.80"
7. "Depth3" all known ores no longer spawns at this depth "platinum" at "0.80" and all known Gems at "1.40"

Fuels on the other hand spawn normally at there levels, but only at "1.00"

The ore Generation is also at a Fixed Value, which means no matter where you are, or which planet you are on, or which sector, these values will remain the same

This is, however, experimental, the values may change over time, or if it has to be, the old ore file will return

Hi, following the quest log but stuck at the basic core power, I do need advance alloy but how can I make it? I mean it doesn't appear anywhere and no information about it in the quest log ( btw I did take a look at the research table, nothing about advance alloy )
Can you help me?
