But I'm talking about any commons ore above tier 6. and even after upgrading my macerator it still didn't grind. I had no problem with gems but actual high tier metals did not grind some reason.

You have to put "strange seeds" in a furnace and cook them, once you have 80 plant matter you can craft a rubber seed.

tree saplings in oven makes seed matter :)

Smelt Tin Ore. You find Tin Ore by digging it up.

How exactly do you use a Module Upgrade? The Resource and Booster work, but crafting a Module Upgrade only opens up the path to make a Mk2.

I think the Module upgrade is only for upgrading 2nd-tier MK1 machines to MK2. guessing by it opening up the MK2 upgrades

the Module upgrade is required for the Blast Furnace,, Upgrading it to Mk2, allows it to blast iron for steel, and Mk3 allows it to blast Titanium for Durasteel

Ok, well when do you make a Blast Furnace? I am up to Cerulium (which can't be crushed in the macerator, btw) and have not seen a recipe for it yet. By the sound of what it does, I may be past the progression for it.

yeah, you are WAY past it, its a Tier 2 machine, they unlock when you make your first "Improved Machine Block"

Okay, thanks. So is there any way to crush ores past aegisalt?

not yet, as i've not gotten that far my self, once i get to the later ores, i'll patch them up, for now, Aegisalt was my latest addition

Cool, cool. Great work so far. I really hope they contact you and get most of this stuff added to the core game. By the way, what dusts can you use to make ore trees, and how many does it take? I tried putting 200 copper dust in the genetics thing and nothing happened.

ahh, this is where it gets really confusing, ehem

it takes 500 Tin dust for the Bio-Plant genetics to produce 1 tiny Tin seed, as you plant and harvest, you gain additional seeds, as you reach your first 30 Tin Seeds, you put them 30 tin seeds into bio-plant genetics, this will upgrade to a Copper Seed, then you start over with a copper, gain enough seeds (just keep trying until it upgrades) you can upgrade copper seeds into Silver seed

For the Iron it breaks away from that path, but requires a LARGER amount to form a seed, Break down any Bars/Dust to gain 1,000 Iron dust, use the Genetics again, to form 1 Iron seed, as you Harvest, you gain additional seeds, reach 100 Iron seeds to be upgraded into Titanium seed

Oh that is a neat idea, even if it is an absurd amount of iron. I guess the payoff is that you eventually don't need to go hunting for it. Although, I would think 1000 iron would be more than enough to build everything, if not really close.
