Thanks for the Quest line fix, I reported it because I was using other races mods, and help to find this bug.

 

yes thanks i was making my race and had to uninstall and then fix the file to make it compatible. Was JUST about to msg you lol but works perfectly now

What a coincidence lol
Today while playing with my bf, I told him that the boosted machines process 2x, and they never process 1x (I emphasized "never")
And he said, "I doubt that's intended" He'll be delighted to see this change! Can't wait to tell him
Now I have no reason to keep a machine unboosted (unless I want a different upgrade; not sure if there are other types)

The reductions seem very generous! Oh well, not complaining ^-^ Thank you very much~

 

I love the mod, but it won't work with the Chemistry Mod - both use silicon...

 

Does it mean I'm stupid if I can't figure out how to make carbon plate?

3x, and not 2x?! Whaaat- That's really fast! Can't wait to install the update and launch Starbound to see this xD
It also delights me to see the code is being cleaned and stuff. This mod is really cared for

After installing the current updated version (V0573), I launched the game and my boosted electric furnaces, boosted macerators, and boosted compressor now process only 1x ): I thought maybe I didn't relaunch the game properly, so I closed the game and closed steam, started it again and it's still like that. >-<

Don't worry, you're not stupid xP I had a hard time figuring it out too! I at first thought carbon plating might be made of diamonds(cuz... diamonds are carbon... xD )
and tried to macerate and smelt and compress my cut diamonds
Totally forgot about coal also being made of carbon..
My bf didn't think you could even make carbon plating in Tier 1.

 

This I have made a good portion of the craftables and haven't unlocked the tier two machies despite having three items mentioning these machines.

 

i'm getting a duplicate error for silicon due to SS13chemistry mod anyway around this?

EDIT: As a temporary fix I just added an extra "n" to the end of everything with the word silicon in SS13

My bf and I unlocked the blueprints for the tier 2 machines by crafting the improved machine block ^-^ If that doesn't work, we did unlock tier 2 by crafting everything we haven't crafted before lol

 

Thanks for the advice but I can't even craft that,though the news of a compressor is news to me... Though I don't have the recipe for that either. I made coal dust, canisters, the gem cores, the furnace, macerator, extractor and such... Unfortunately despite updating I haven't gotten the quest. Then again I'm playing with an older character at tier ten... So I've been fumbling about trying to guess as to what will trigger a recipe. It's kinda making me wish that the blocks were simply unlocked by tier, I like the idea of a quest line but a good portion of the items craftable in the tables kinda worked like that, and it was much easier to follow.

Don't suppose there's a way to fix not having the quest is there?

 

Ohhh I see. My bf and I did make new characters so it was easier to see the progression. Did you try deleting your PlayerQuests file in your Universe folder, yet? It restarts your questline so you can see the updated questline, supposedly. The updated questline stops at the power core(with the power gems).
I know in the new questline you must craft a compressor xD Do you have the blueprint for that?
Did you make the upgrade table(or can you craft it in your machinery crafting table)? It unlocks new blueprints(hopefully the improved machine block too) when you pick it up/craft it.

Edit: Actually, a part of the questline is to make the distress beacon, then kill the UFO, get the molten core, and craft the tier 2 crafting station. (I can't recall the name of the upgraded anvil lol)
Maybe if you re-do the first boss again, the upgrade table will unlock.

 

mkay I'll give that a shot if that doesn't work I'll try deleting my questline data. I was kinda wanting to have my "magical fight all the bosses to see how far you've come" thing, and this will be a good excuse. =p *crosses fingers for this to work*

 

The Compressor stuff and the Upgrade Table becomes Unlocked ones you acquire your first piece of Steel Bar, make sure you have defeated the UFO and have made the Molten Metal Works, which allows you to craft the Steel Bars

there's your solution! Pick up a steel bar xD heh
Then make the upgrade table and compressor, which unlocks the improved machine block
Craft the improved machine block and you will have the tier 2 machines blueprints! hope it works

 

Please Comferm that the Boosted machines work as intended, as i feel they are not

 

yep deleting the quest log helped. Thanks for the tip kim! Yeah I'll be honest it is allot of backtracking for me. Iron doesn't spawn on tier X planets so it's allot of scrambling back to sectors looking for good planets to mine on I kinda forgot about steel. Got myself a drill of doom from that drill mod. So it wasn't to had finding everything I needed.
