Modding Discussion Industrial Craft mod for Starbound team

I have now made a new update for the macerator and it should be fully working. just FYI.

 

I have looked into the other IC2 machines (http://wiki.industrial-craft.net/index.php?title=Category:Machines).

There are 3 other machines except the macerator I can see fit. But I don't know what to use them for yet. Those are:

Compressor
Recycler
Extractor

 

The macerator looks cool, but right now it's just a tool to give you items is there a payment of pixels or you need fuel to grind it, to make it more realistic etc

 

Iv'e said this 100 times If in the future Chucklefish will add power source I will make it cost power of fuel or any other power source.

 

I'm wondering, has anyone tried or seen anything that could be used to transfer items from one inventory to another? (possibly using the relative locations of the objects or something like the existing wire)

 

I'm not even sure if wire is in the modding API! I haven't seen anything like this, of course it's probably possible to do some cool crap with techs but I have no idea if you could move items.

Lazy fools! Craft and do things manually! Whats wrong with hard work? Whats next? A bomb that blows up the entire planet and gives you all the ores and wood within 2 seconds flat of landing on the thing?

 

i wanted to make IC in starbound but then i saw pacN's mod. I would love to work on it with someone if that is still in play

the reason i stopped was i could not find a way to make electricity or add fuel to my blocs to balance them but i have been working on my mod that is up since last friday

 

This is not about being lazy, it is about modding.

Compressor: Pixel compressor, already ingame.
Recycler: Put equipment into it and get pixels or materials out of it.
Extractor: Put dirt, stone and other materials into it and get ores out of it.

 

I was poking around at making a furnace with multiple input/output slots, and managed to make the game crash through a recursive loop.
BUT! This crash was not during startup, or when I opened the inventory (with the additional slots visible ). In fact, it crashed the server (not the client) when I pressed the smelt button, with gold ore in one of the input slots.

I have to sleep now to regain some sanity, and I'll be busy tomorrow, but I'll be looking into getting this working better over the next few days. (if at all possible)

 

This may sound silly, but there is an artificial way to manage power as a battery could be crafted at full and have durability sort of like the Original powersuits mod without other mods.

 

ya i tried to make a furnace with multiple inputs to but when i did mine it did not crash it what it did was take the item and display it in both slots but they were still the same item idk what i did to cause it.

but what would be cools if a furnace that had a chance of and output or a furnace with 2 outputs

 

I could have a look, but I have no idea how durability works... :/ Besides, crafting tables and furnaces don't store any sort of power.

Also have this same thing going on, although I'm heading more towards the Gregtech approach because I always felt IC2 was too cheesy.
