I believe in the november seventh update I saw mentoin of weapons no longer having the unique effects they once had when found in dungeons , making the game laughably easy... Which is fair to be honest. Some effects could definitely be a path to victory for some. There main concern was giving more of a reason to build racial weapons. But I feel like that might hurt dungeon exploration a bit, atleast early game. Why not make something universally useful, something that doesn't feel temporary, or atleast.. Gives you more incentive to explore, and craft. The ability to find weapon augments for imbuing weapons with unique abilities. You could find a level one scorching upgrade in a tier one planet in some dungeon, and then add it to any weapon therafter. And as you go and explore new planets you find augments with higher buffs, alongside those unique weapons you find in dungeon chests... You can craft your own unique weapons, or find them. But early on it leans towards making your own unique weapon. Giving more purpose to dungeon exploration, and weapon crafting, and making it less of a choice of "this weapon does this, but it's way under leveled.. But this effect was so useful!" and more of a "OH MAN I FOUND A WEAPON MODIFICATION THAT LETS ME SET THINGS ON FIRE WHEN I HIT THEM! I'm going to put this on my favorite weapon!" That satisfaction of finding something incredibly useful, and the satisfaction of crafting that super expensive weapon, all rolled into one.. Being able to add that last bit of "pop" that makes your sword or gun truly stand out.
i think that a machine or whatever that give effects to the weapons just like the enchanting table in the elder scroll v would be the best option with a high cost of some liquid that does the same effect like lava, poison, etc....
