As the title reads, I love the fact the game is completely random and offers a great challenge but to find NPC's which is not only hard enough and rare (which is good) but there has been times my game has lagged and I killed them by mistake.

I can't really think of a reason for ship NPC's to be killable, but at least make it we can scan the device that spawns the NPC's just in case accidents happen. I know "what kind of brute would walk around with their weapon in their ship?" I don't, but I can't tell you how many times I had to rebackup my file because my FPS drops horribly bad when I enter dungeons and if I get killed during fighting, my character respawns and the attack delays, killing my Merchant.

This would mean the world to me if you could fix this, Devs.

I agree with this, and/or the spawners being copiable in your 3D printer. I tried to use a chef one on my printer early on and it was just destroyed, without giving me a chef or the item to build in the printer.

Yes! i know right? I would love for it to be respawnable at least.

I don't know if they should be immortal or what not, but I know I have a habit of idly swinging my sword while waiting for a friend to sail to the next planet and I may have forgot that there was an NPC in front of me. If the ships were expandable and NPCs did not spawn in the control room level, that would be great.
