I'm somewhat (extremely) new to modding and have attempted to build a first mod, a relativley simple one, that adds a new craftable fuel variant to the game. Unfortunately, I have the same techeological skill as a bannana and I was wondering if anyone could help me figure out what I need to reorganize/change/create to get this mod working and yes I have looked for modding guides, all the ones I found were outdated, I did as close as I could to what they said but it added up to a alot of facedesking. The file up for judgement is attatched. Thanks to anyone who helps, comments, or looks upon me with pity.
Try removing the second __merge (the one after defaultblueprints) in your player.config file. You don't need it and it may be causing your issue. So it should look like this: Code: { "__merge" : [], "defaultBlueprints" : { "tier1" : [ { "item" : "biofuel" } ] } }
This didn't solve the issue, it's a slight possibility that one of my other mods installed could be conflicting, but I can't see how. I'll back up my stuff and try the game with just the biofuel mod to see if it'll run that way
As always - Load your game with your mod . Try and craft your item what ever method you choose. For example if it is via crafting table just open the crafting table Quit Then copy and paste the starbound.log easiest way to find the error
While I completely missed that, I would have figured he would have seen a PGI if that were the only issue. I also suck with the merging stuff so I don't know if that is right or not.
Okay so I looked into the log and I located the error, and it was pretty straightforward- it said that there was no such item. Problem is, I don't know how to make it exist since I thought that what I had would suffice for making it exist.
