I'm confused ..Help Please

I was playing on the Unstable Version for a while... now after big update.. now I'm get confused ...

I've notice my char was saved, and my worlds was reset.. no big deal....my friends gave me some cords for a few planets to check out and the name of planet and planet are different ..( different universe )

did my game bug out..? or do I need to un-installed ? ..can i save my char in all this ..?
I want the same universe they have...

 

Do you have the same version of windows as your friend? You can also delete your universe folder and the game will generate a new universe with the stable update that will be more likely to match posted coordinates.

 

he running windows 8-64bit and I'm on win 7-64bit...he just got his game maybe a day or so and my had over a year ..I deleted the universe folder a few times and still getting the same worlds...I did opt out of steam beta before all this happen..Umm maybe should put it back to unstable in steam again ?

 

If you have different operating systems you won't have the same universe. That's just how the game works.

There's a sticky coordinates thread with both windows 7 and windows 8 coordinates posted that you can check out.
