If you could add one endgame item into the game, what would you choose?

One of each, I would be difficult to balance but having everybody pleased at endgame would be nice.

 

One of each? You mean of every single thing in the world?

 

Like an endgame shotgun, rifle, sword... etc etc... yes.

 

Well, where would you put all these items?

 

Maybe you do a special mission and you kill a boss, the weapon you kill it is the only one you get (you must use your favorite)

 

But what if, say, you're using a gun and it runs out of ammo, you couldn't finish killing it with that gun, so you have to kill it with something else, then what would you get?

Ifb you really wanted the gun item you would bring enough ammo that you'd never run out. ;P

 

you remember those cartoons where the big animal (most commonly a shark or crocodile), went to eat someone, but then its mouth was stopped from closing by someone jamming an unbreakable(tm) stick in its mouth?
yeah... I'm going to have a REALLY big stick by the time I get to the point where I'm collapsing the Universe.

Oh god, I just thought of something that would be really cool!
would it be possible to craft an item that would allow your space-station (and everything inside) to transport itself (wormhole/teleport/whatever) to another Universe (save file / new game / server /universe_map), thereby allowing someone to tackle a new universe in potentially end-game gear (seems like a bad idea at first, but let your inner dark-lord think about it for you).

yes, I'm aware that the tactic in question could let you gather a ton of what the game would consider "rare" blocks... but thats half the fun!

I also made the suggestion because I know that one of the similarities between Starbound and Minecraft is procedural generation. Minecraft exhibited an error called "The Far Lands" past a certain distance from spawn (currently quoted at 300,000,000 blocks or so). My want for an item to allow this transportation would be to allow the continuous characters despite errors generation that would require new maps (I am unsure how characters tie in to maps / space-stations at this point, or whether or not we'll experience Terraria Style map-jumping)

Very strong stats, swimming capability, infinite flight, very strong, completely loyal, awesome-looking, & named after my Primary Screenname, "Tyrax Lightning"!

Edit: Oh, almost forgot, this Pet should be a former Boss, so I can say it is a Player Pet Boss!

SO BACK ON TOPIC great teleport idea, but you'd basically be doing a "player jump" from terraria, but with almost limitless piggybacks? I dunno...

 

I'm sure there are lots of ideas similar to this, but i wanted to post it anyway.
The Gut-tar.
It's a (insert your color choice) Assault rifle/Electric guitar hybrid that uses ammunition. It has 3 small gun barrels where the headstock sits, the barrels shoot Glowing green switch blades and censored profanity's (the gun converts ammunition to the resulted ammo type).
When ever you strum it, it plays 6 different distorted power chords (each chord having a chance to be played when clicking to shoot the Gut-tar)
If you hold the shoot button, it plays the chord in a really fast palm muted style. (rate of fire is really fast for high DPS)

 

Maybe you could mash your keyboard to make it play music That would be fun.
