Pretty much anything from Halo.

Alternatively, Grues and stuff from Aliens vs Predator.

 

Newmans and Androids ala Phantasy Star classic.

Newmans because they're basically ninja space elves with photon (read: laser) claws. Plus Nei (PS II) and Fal / Rika (PS IV) were cool.

Androids akin to Wren and Demi from the previously mentioned game were cool though. The former being able to call down laser death from an orbital assault platform as well as participate in the game's ultimate combo attack made him just plain cool. Demi was just cute and helpful with being a medical android. Their design aesthetics made them look more human-like, almost as if they could possibly shed the armor and have a body underneath that was closer in size to a human's body.

Brownie points for anyone who has played the classic Phantasy Star series.

Not sure if I already posted this but I intended to and saw the thread again. Spacegoats, aka Draenei from Warcraft. They would fit in here better than they do in WoW.

 

The gria from Final Fantasy Tactics Advance 2 as a race you can be. Any one that adds them in will be a truly great modder. I would never stop using that mod.
