If you could add a race from another franchise to Starbound, what race will it be?

I would add Wookies from starwars!!!

You'll have to put up with there incessant annoying sounds they make.

We also need something like Metroids and Space Pirates, probably as enemies. Terraria had the goblin army and what have you, Starbound should have some kind of Xeno race. Bonus points if there are missions where they actually inhabit some of the planets and try to colonize and even take over other planets, giving you a reason to be in conflict with them.

 

Kobolds. I mean, look at that smarmy little guy. Who wouldn't want to travel space as a midget lizard-man?

Because they can, and honestly, they're successful in it. Obviously they can't satisfy everyone, including those within a range of audience they weren't really aiming for.

It still makes me sad the stories loose the intended message some were stories of warning thus the bad ending was a deterrent... (I'm referring to where stories that were once tragedies get the "happily ever after" ending...) but that was off topic... My original comment was in reference to how different Disney fairies are to the fairies in old legends...(heck those fairies were unpredictable acting to their whims and implied to be vastly superior to humans... In comparison the Disney variant has gone mainstream despite not being as interesting as the original is...)
(though it pales in comparison to what Twilight did to Vampires but I digress...)
