If you could add a race from another franchise to Starbound, what race will it be?

I think Starbound could do with some cat people of some sort.

 

The black little car thing that drives around the death star, unless it isn't an alien robot car thing and is infact being driven around by a super tiny midget person because then it wouldn't be another race and totally wouldn't count. But then again the tiny car-thingy seems like it is racing so maybe it would!?

 

Considering it'll have to have a humanoid body so they can use the same armors as everyone else without having to make unique sprites for their armors, hm...

We have two apes (humans and Apex), one bird-like, one plant-like, one somewhat fish/amphibian-like, and robots.

So... I guess there could be more stuff like:
- A more beast-like race with carnivore mammal features, like animal ears such as dog's or cat's. Like FF's Mithra or TES' Khaijit, and some Tera's Elin.
- Another with more herbivore features, like bunny ears like FF's Viera and some Tera's Elin. Or horns like WoW's Draenei.
- A race with shelled invertebrate features, with insectoid eyes and hairtyles that have things like bug legs, tendrills, pincers, spikes, stings, antennae, insectoid wings...
- One inspired by soft invertebrates, with big round eyes and hair styles that include things like tentacles, snail shells, earthworth-like dreadlocks, slug eyes popping out a bald head, seaslug and squid fins. It may even be translucent, and things like tentacled faces a-la D&D Illithids or Chtulhu creature.

It'll be nice if there was a tail and/or wing slot for the sprites. That'll allow ore variety.
- One with more reptilian features like greenish skin, no hair and a customizable lizard tail instead customizable hair styles, like The Elder Scrolls' Argonian.
- Demonic or draconic races with 6 limbs (2 legs, 2 arms, 2 wings, like D&D draconians.

Also, since many people would probably love to customize their own race, there could be a metamorph-like race, able to use any sprite piece from the other races, including body, head, hair and tail and wings if they were to be added. And they would be genderless, allowing you to use pieces from both genders.


Hm... I think that's mostly what I see missing.

I sorta guess they are a race, they're from Prototype & Prototype 2, for anyone's deep concerns.

 

necrons are awesome but then again maybe tyranids? lots of different bioforms available for your scuttling flesh eating gribbliness needs

Yeah! Another Metroid fan! The Kriken are awesome and all, but I'd rather see the space pirates (with prime 2 modeling) as a part of the game; especially their dark counterparts. Dark Pirate Troopers: best looking Metroid enemies ever.
