If you could add a new resident to the town, what would their profession be?

I was thinking of more of a tiny building with those one-room jails in rinky dink towns

One room means they have to share with Bubba the Lonely Felon. I approve lmao send some f**king jerkwads in there for the night, they'll come out reformed one way or another

I think another possibility is a fast food place. You could have the Saloon for sit-down restaurant and a fast food place for a quick bite to eat. The resulting increase in stamina wouldn't be as much as a sit-down place but would be cheaper

 

An inn would make sense, since like people have brought up, Pelican Town is supposed to be a tourism town, which means tourist need a place to stay. And relying on townfolk to house travelers always eventually ends badly.

 

@Aurellia, while that's true, in all fairness, towns don't usually have caves filled with mummies and flying serpents, farmers who can convert copper into iron, totems that transport you instantly home, or machines that turn broken eyeglasses into refined quartz. Pelican Town is a rather strange place.

I wanna know what happens to the redhead girl when JoJa get's run out of town. was she chained up in the back when not leashed to her register? Did they leave her in the ruined building?

 

I would say a Blacksmith besides Clint. One that you can obtain weapons from (I was thinking the Wizard might give magical weapons so this Blacksmith might say 'I had the Wizard enchant this', and I was thinking other weapons like bow/arrow, mace, spear, whip/flail and actual magic- shoot out a fireball or a bolt of lightning from something this new blacksmith makes) as well as 'Hats' that are more like helmets and give you stat boosts and rings with more/different attributes.

 

Hmm I want like a special retailer that comes to town and sells fancy new furniture and hats.

 

how about a sewage treatment official? there are sewers.

 

But what about Krobus?

 

You know, if ConcernedApe expands the sewer system in the game (and I have no idea if he will; probably not), Krobus perhaps be appointed sewer inspector, with an office down there. Just a thought.

 

Awww.... I would love to see that! Maybe he can even wear a tiny tie to look somewhat official.

 

Perhaps we are thinking too small, perhaps the end game content could be 'town expansion' like a chapter two, you've saved the community centre/destroyed the town and the next branching chapter is the repercussions? So if you saved the town maybe it becomes a more affluent place to live with tinkerers and tailors and candlestick makers and a general positive progression for all! But if you sided with joja mart then the town becomes a more shady place to live, with crime and police and a more down trodden society, where grandpas ghost visits again, and he's pretty pissed, and gives you a second chance to mend your ways!

Went off on a tangentive narrative but yeah, let's be greedy and hope for all!

Yeah exactly, since we iz living in a small town, how about a nice ol'Sheriff, he doesn't have to be old, maybe he can be young, new and like got ''deployed''? to Pelican town for the position of Sheriff. MAYBE if he is well made he can also be a marriage candidate if people like him enough for it >< IDK

 

If he does I'd actually want a whole village of shadow people moving in down there. That would be cool.

 

I would actually like a pet and pet related items/useables. Pet food, pet grooming, collar, toys. Dog house, cat bed.
I love the dog and cat, would love if he could expand on those!

 

More ranged weapons would be a welcome addition... if their usage made any freaking sense. I can't aim that stupid slingshot worth anything.

 

If the film 'Hot Fuzz' has taught me anything about living in a farming community (that actually living in a farming community also has taught me) is that everyone and their mums has guns in the countryside...
