Idea For Junk

Here's a thought I had... My characters have a habit of collecting way too many weapons, and most of them are junk. What would be awesome is to have a way to salvage the junk. For example, if I salvage a Crappy Spear, I'd receive a few wood planks or maybe an Iron Bar. Right now there doesn't seem to be much to do with all the junk equipment we build up other than trash it, and it seems an awful waste.

If this idea has be brought up already, I apologize for repeating it, but you have to admit, it would be pretty cool.

 

This is an idea that I would love to see as well. Salvaging junk for random ore/wood/anything helpful would be awesome.
