Idea about steam workshop!

Hey! I just got and idea. Why don't open workshop for Starbound? Then after month, developers can choose 10 most rated and best mods/items that are created by community! What do you think about it?

 

What exactly are they going to do after they have selected 10 from the most rated mods/items? Implent them in the game?

Yes, that would be neat, BUT there is a slight problem. Not everyone knows how to mod, and perhaps good ideas will be left behind...

 

Brilliant... It would just be like TF2, the highly rated items get implemented. Tiy has already hinted about putting in the top mods from the community.

 

I guess Chucklefish sponsored mods would get me to try mods. What about the ingame items? We saw a tutorial on how to make a moving cog part so why not let the players create their own item and put them in the game!?! That would be a fantastic idea!

 

They should make them as like, a side item that you can activate. -snip already said-

Also it would be interesting if say you subscribed to something on the starbound workshop it will install it as a mod?

 

It would have to be during the beta but I like this idea.

 

Wut? Also yeah this needs steam workshop support for steam.
