I think I've upset Kluex.

First things first; hi! I'm new here, nice to meet you, etc. Back on topic. Recently, I've desecrated an Avian temple/tomb site on my Floran girl on a multiplayer server. And by desecrating I mean I robbed the place blind. I'm currently using many of the tombs as storage/decoration as well. This didn't seem to be TOO big of an issue, until I moved off planet. First of all, I landed on a planet with acid rain; nothing too big, happened to several of my friends before it happened to me.

But then came the meteor showers. And suddenly, every planet I went to, no matter the climate... I would have meteor showers. And then I find out, oh, this planet my friends had been on but I hadn't yet just started having meteor showers when I showed up. I'm pretty sure this is a coincidence, or it's possible I have...

DISPLEASED THE GODS. What sacrifices should I make to get back into their favor once more?

    Raybrandt Jackpot!

You start praying to new gods.

I heard the gods of RNG tend to be hit or miss.

EXCELLENT IDEA, SLIMY. I will coerce them at once. About how tall should the towers be?

  6. Quite simple, actually.

In my long travels as a distinguished exopaleontologist (“Horrific Monstrosities in Variegated Sectors” J. Whitman, Antecedent Archives, Vol 2, pp 428-435, 2465), I've come across several cultures of the past that believed in such superstition and paltry coincidence as your situation seems to suggest. I simply cannot, in all of my educated pretentiousness, let this matter lay down and allow all of these other layabouts educate you otherwise.

First off, consider the deity "Iruyit". He/it (which one it is remains a point of contention among my colleagues) was believed widely throughout the galaxy after the decline of the Second Brillitean Empire, such to the effect that a galaxy-wide crusade was initiated against what they considered heathens -- nothing more than a simple diaspora of Hylotl, a migration inching its way across the galactic plane. Aged phonographs and other such paraphernalia all provide support towards the hypothesis that this entity did not, as many rationalized, a manifestation of a transcendental being ranging from extradimensional causes, but rather a mere perturbation in statistics, as ephemeral as bow shocks frequently observed in nebulae (on cosmic scales, of course). Of course, some other snarky individuals in this forum may point out several points against this, but common sense dictates that one supposed deity is as interchangeable as any other; Kluex and this Iruyit may be the same -- to wither away in destitution within a matter of years. Come at me you filthy avians

Secondly, there are simply too many factors to take into consideration if this "Kluex" is truly a manifestation of some trans-universal phenomenon. Simple science and reason dictates otherwise, as does general statistics, therefore in my good judgement I must point you towards the nearest outpost for therapeutic treatment, or a more serious investigation into your own beliefs as an adventurer. Yes, it may seem harsh, but I posit this: would you rather wither away and hide from all of the marvelous disasters the galaxy has to offer, or stab it in the face with an obsidian dagger and laugh at the colour of its blood?

...yes, unfortunately, I have indeed observed the latter. Ah, well, chances will be chances.

After much consideration and reading of your work, Whitman, you've helped me come to a conclusion.

ALL SHALL FALL, BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GODS! AHAHAHAHA!
