I need ideas and suggestion on this thing

The thing is, i kinda want to have a roleplaying experience with starbound, but doing it alone isn't as much fun since there is no witnesses to the development of the story, so what are good ideas to turn the meta game up? What you guys reckon i can do to make it more fun for me to do it?
I thought about drawing a comic out of it but then, that's too much time consuming, also i'm not good with writing so no...
anyway what you guys suggest?

 

I just role-play on the discord. It's chat based so there's no pictures, but it lets me do things you normally wouldn't be able to do in game

Good idea, but I never thought about it because for me playing the game is interesting enough.

 

after 955 hours of starbound you kinda start to want to spice things up

 

You can go on a roleplay server or you can create your own server. I don't think that you can't write a story cuz '' i'm not good at writing'', just try, maybe when you finish writing that story ends up being a great story!

You could have maybe three characters that you swap between and then have their first jumps be to the same system. Then you build a massive colony where each character has different ideas about what it should look like, possibly sabotaging the other's work. In between construction you could go exploring to explain why they aren't all there at the same time. On the exploring sections you could leave stuff behind for the other characters to find. (You know, like leaving iron ore in the chests on a Tier 6 planet...) It's not the same as having other people, but it's close.

If you have a microphone, you could also keep a captain's log (or maybe something more verbose) to record it for later.

either go on a rp discord server or try to roleplay in starbound with a bunch of people, although I tend to lean towards the discord server, you'd have to make sure you don't godmode (aka, said character takes a nuke to the face and is left unscathed), as those take away from the whole feel of it.

 

Oh no, I enjoy having flawd characters so that wouldn't be a problem, but still i like building and grafics, one day i might do it though. The problem is that English isn't my first language so sometimes i can't remember a word or even know a especific word that i want to use and that is bothersome

Have you thought about making machinima? Starbound is actually quite good for machinima, but very few people have actually made any.

I've also seen let's players add a role-playing aspect to their videos.

 

that's interesting, although i don't see myself as the youtuber type.

 

You could always do like a Tumblr or Wordpress blog about it, document the adventures with pictures and little Rp writing blurbs about what went down, I know a lot of RPers from other games do this.
