I need booze

so I'm gonna open a floating restaurant/party bus thing on my ship,I'm having trouble with actually making alcohol in starbound so if anyone can be so kind as to make me a few batches of booze from fracking universe and give it to me?

Like all mods, if you try to get an item from a mod that you don't have from somebody else, you'll crash as soon as the item comes into existence into the area/planet it's in. (Tried it on purpose with my friends) You'll the need the mod itself in order to have the item/booze.

 

yeah, your game can not have an item from a mod unless you have the mod yourself x)

 

Yeah I know that,so just the fracking universe booze not from the star booze mod

 

I just learned today (thanks to the CF blog) that Frackin Universe includes that star booze mod that is otherwise separate.

Yeah, I was talking about Frackin Universe booze. You still need the mod yourself or you'll crash. If you get booze from somebody who just has Star Booze, you will need Star Booze yourself or you'll crash. If you want an Explorerpod given to you, or just a simple piece of custom furniture, you need said mod or you will crash. Period. All mods that pretty much add items are like this. Since the code doesn't exist on your end the game comes up with an error. The only mods you don't need to download is when somebody has a clientside mod, because it doesn't directly affect you anyway.

 

Yeah I understand that,though I always thought that I I had FU and the person had star booze/bees! I could still use their items...

 

It....might be possible, if the code is exactly the same. It's a bit iffy. But what will get in the way is the universe incompatibility. Since Frackin Universe edits the universe permanently, your friend (who I'm assuming doesn't want to use FU and only Star Booze,) will crash entering your universe with FU stuff. Or if he's hosting (again, assuming he doesn't have FU) , you will crash instead because he doesn't have FU on his universe.
