I have a Stardew problem...

Hi my name is Jlee and i have a Stardew Valley problem. I recently built a new Linux box to play more Stardew Valley on and this after getting a Switch for the main point of playing more Stardew. This has led me to here to say hello. I am also looking to play some multiplayer farming, and learn some bits about it. My Steam ID is "Cosend1One" or "cosend_what"

Unfortunately, I have the GOG and PS4 edition only. I hope you managed the firewall permissions handily on linux:
Rules for host:
sudo ufw allow from 192.168.2.0/24 to any port 24642 (you can actually specify the IP of the other PC; safer)
sudo ufw allow out 24642 (think of it as port forwarding)
I think the same rules apply for those who join if another linux box.

Multiplayer, at least, should be released for the switch; I fear it won't be for the PS4 due to Sony.
Unfortunately, the Gog version of stardew, at least, for linux and mac only support local LAN multiplayer... currently anyway.
