Lol... I got my superior brain on my 5th try. I wonder what the drop chances are and the factors that affect it.
Code: "pool" : [ [0.07, [ "brain" ] ], [0.93, [ "inferiorbrain" ] ] ], This means that it's a 7% chance to score a superior brain. This means that getting 69 inferiors in a row has a probability of (0.93)^69, or 0.669%.
Man, that sucks. First character, I got a superior brain on my first try. I was like "surely something is wrong here".
Man, I had to bee exceptionally lucky. I made the brain thing with 4 chars now and the most tries I needed was 9...
I thought a superior brain was similar to black souls from oblivion. I kept trying to harvest NPCs and only got my ass handed to me by the guards time and time again.
I ended up getting my superior brain right after that snapshot. For the three characters I made its taken me 30+ brains I'm just unlucky
in my first character i got 344 inferiors brain before the superior one.. but after wipe i have made 2 new chars and i got them before getting to 10 inferiors which is nice! it's way too ramdon!
Where is that file located? Might actually hop on that and swap the numbers of inferiorbrain and brain "by accident". Or simply set them to a less grindy way
The first time i ever did that, i got two superior brains in a row. Of course, i wasn't that lucky after that.
I'm convinced that there's something wrong with the RNG for most games out there. As far as I can tell, most games either use the RNG that's built-in to the programming language or they use simple functions. Often, they will do it as a function of the current time (as the seed). Some games are just really annoying, however. It's so frustrating to gamers when they need a "rare" ingredient that drops only very rarely. (I never could find a pink rat tail in FFIV, despite hours spent trying. One in 100 chance, my arse! ) As a kindness, they ought to keep track of how many attempts a player makes and, after a fixed number of failures, provide a "gimme" behind the scenes (in the code).
you obviously haven't played Warframe, that entire game is RNG and most of the time you'll do 100+ missions and never get what you want
