I feel the game has been ruined.

There is a bit of a trick, make sure you have the 'dash' tech on, and find a ranged weapon. If you have to, run through the worlds you have access to until you find something that does poison or fire damage!

I remember them talking about "Farmer", "Adventurer", "Explorer", and "Landlord" as possible ways to progress through the game, but I don't remember "Wolf of Wall Street" in those same discussions... :p

I was thinking more of a Illusive Rhino mode of progression but same difference! :D

i feel like this is how the game is supsoed to be , there a inside of these planet , look at them , the game start with a very slow pace , making your curiosity peak as the game go on , they cant just let you reach tier 10 in 2 hours and then you get bored and leave

you start slow and if you want something cool well you gonna have to work for it , like most games

I actually died a few times to that dreadwing.... Each time thought I got closer to finishing. The first time was just to see, and that was with the unstable winter update; got it down by like a quarter, and didn't have the best of weapons. The second time was with the most recent unstable update before the stable one; that one I got it to half, and this time had a decent weapon. The third time I got it down to where you don't see red on its' bar, and got killed due to lack of paying attention to my health at that point. That last time I got it right after those tries.

Basically I don't think I used a ranged weapon. I used my melee bone sword thing I found in a floran temple place. 1hand with shield. I just timed my shield block and held when the thing came at me. Swing every time it came down whether it hit the ufo or not. Most the time I would be going back n forth left and right near the beginning. I actually killed off the penguins in the area right before the ufo comes after you; even near the tent. Made easier to take care of the ones it starts spawning eventually, as all I would have to do is kill those few it dropped then concentrate on the ufo again. Once the mini-ufos spawned around the ufo and did a blast every so often I just held my shield up. At the point it comes down to ground I just mash it with sword.

Every so often, I would switch to bandages, since 1handed. The quickly switch back to weapon with a double tap R, the MM button. I just studied the ufo pattern in the prior battles, and kept note with each new phase. Still basically did the same thing for each phase. When it comes down I hit it with melee, mostly holding shield up at same time; unless it was grounded. In that instance I just held up long enough to block the drop down making sure it was not on top of me. moved close enough to pummel my strikes as quickly as I could.

now I can not say that battle was easy, but it was rather simple once I figured out what I must do. At least according to the way I play, which lined out above I have been using sword/shield throughout.

The only time I ever use range weapon, my trusty crossbow or sniper rifle, it is in normal combat outside of boss battle. I found it more difficult with range weapons, since energy conservation and no blocking if with no shield. even with a shield the pistols would have taken a longer time to finish the ufo off. Preference I guess. My aim is not all that great with guns/bows/similar, at least in this game.

Anyway that is the summed up version of what I did. Didn't feel like elaborating too much as that in itself is a bit to read...>< Well regardless I hope that helps give some ideas on how to go about it, as well what the other person I quoted mentions. Both are viable, but really it depends on how you play. Just find a way to go about it even if takes a lot of deaths, find ways to improve what you do in that battle. I zoomed out to the max when in that battle and fought that way. (usually have the middle zoom level) Cheers.:)

EDIT: Note I have trouble using the dash tech, and that didn't work out for me. >< Third death at the end I died from using it...
