I feel the game has been ruined.

Theres mobs and chest underground too. So that isent correct.

(Theres also plenty of sub biomes and the micro dungeons underground once you get of the starter world.)

 

With luck they make the underground more exciting and rewarding. I think they've taken a big step towards it, but they're still not at the point where people WANT to go underground because it's underground. People go underground because they need to.

 

(Perhaps you shouldent speak for others, theres plenty of people that like too go underground, theres even players that willfully spend most of there time underground and only surfaces when they have too)

 

Very well, I hope that CF moves towards a point where almost every person wants to go underground because underground is awesome. Currently, underground gets mixed reviews and thus can use some improvement in my opinion.

Eh, I like the changes. There wasn't a reason to go underground in the old system. You could easily scan the surface and get everything you need. Now that it is eliminated, and you're forced to explore more of the planet... which is how it should be.

OP's problem is that he is incapable of accepting huge changes, and that makes him pretty much the poster child of someone who should not have purchased the game in the beginning.

Well in aspects of immersion... you can't expect every cave you enter to be interesting.
If they overloaded every planet with interesting things, why bother going anywhere else?

I don't mind digging to obtain the ores I need, but honestly, they only thing that breaks immersion for me is how those pixel containers got so far underground. WHO PUT THEM THERE!?!?!?! GOD?!?!

My money's on the Po, and that they poop pixel boxes. Damn things are everywhere and contain pixels and meats within.

No it was never about surface mining. You have stuff in the underground like chests, mini dungeons, mini biomes, mobs that drop more pixels, and fossils in the future. Also Terraria has 1x1 mining so dont qq about 2x2 and 3x3.

 

Well on the pixel container part.. maybe the monsters waste. Something like that. I am sure they are going to do something on that, but unsure if much will change with that. Only time will tell on that. Just the thought of those containers being monster waste is well... you I think get the hint of what I mean I think. Was only a thought I had when I read that...

 

I still contend that the small houses are actually "microbiomes" that are waiting for an explorer with a shrink potion or a giant foot to put them out of their misery. The 6pixel containers are simply the banks or storage vaults of that tiny people, and by breaking them and taking the contents you are robbing entire civilizations out of their hard-earned money. You monster.

Nah... I like those lil' houses and don't usually break those on purpose. the housing is different and do believe that is a mini-biome. I just mean the capsules. I wouldn't want to imagine what sort of creature would leave that as waste. >< Anyway I have a few different theories... that was just one I thought up off-hand.

 

So far I love the changes, except for the pinguin boss it can go hump a tree.

I like that penguin boss... well the saucer. I thought it was one of the best battles I have had, well comparing to the original Koala edition. Haven't done the rest yet. But I agree I as well love most the changes.

 

I keep dying to it guess I have to figure out buffs to use.

 

Until they add in the ability to beat the game by playing the space stocks and amassing billions of pixels so you can hiring a merc army to do your work for you, the game will never be good enough for me.
