So, I'm really excited for this game, and can't wait to pick it up. Of course, just like in the old Harvest Moon games, one of the first things I did was check out the marriage candidates. All of the sprite work is gorgeous, and the game seems to have this really relaxing vibe to it, so I can't wait to pick it up. There's only one thing.. ..Willy. He's so cute! I just wanna pick up that old fisherman and smooch him right on his nose! Unfortunately, he seems to be romantically unavailable. I suppose my love will have to go unrequited. Perhaps I shall work on some fishing-related fanart... Does anyone else here share my deep, passionate longing?
You can't marry him, but you can have a good friendship with him, something that impressed me, is the posibility to be friend of anyone. And that's something that Harvest Moon never had, i think that the relations with the villagers are going to be a lot deep.
Really? every time i heard of Harvest Moon Island of Happiness, is just someone saying that the game is a piece of shit. So i never saw anything about the game. Is the game that bad btw?
The controls sucked, but it was easily one of the better ones. The relationship aspect wasn't shoved on you like the current games. There's not TOO much stuff going on. The newer games feel like there's just way too much going on.
Oh, that willy! I thought of something else... Yeah he seems nice though I find Linus somewhat cooler. I'm sure someone will make a mod to fix that.
I am looking forward to getting to know him! It promises to be most exciting -- or, at the very least, an entertaining endeavor! I've never played Island of Happiness. Honestly, I haven't touched many of the more recent Harvest Moon games. The last game I really played religiously was DS Cute, I think? I've been trying to find another farming/RPG for the past few years, though, and this game has stolen my heart. I don't know much about Linus, yet! I'm still checking out all of the characters (there's so many)! I do hope someone makes a mod for it, though - that would be interesting. Once I've gotten a chance to play the game, I may just try a hand at it, myself... maybe.

I don't remember this one being this bad. The truly awful one was Sunshine Islands. I've never played a HM game as stressful as that one.
Sunshine islands was easier compared to Island of Happiness, at least for me and the control system~ Though it was tedious collecting sun stones.
