so, when i talk to the computer, it asks me to go investigate the gate, but when i try to, i can't, it just makes this annoying beep beep noise telling me i can't do it. If I can't fix this, it looks like i'll have to restart the whole game
Make sure you have the gate selected. After you navigate the map to it, you have to click on it again to select it, and then click go. It's a symptom of the system to allow for a planet and multiple moons in the same region of space.
