I cant open he game. Stack trace runtime error.

    Do you have an Intel graphics card btw?

    Have you already tried to delete the old configuration file? That fixed the problem for me. (You can make a backup for it)
    The stack trace was something with the keybindings. Had the same problem sometimes with the nightly. Hope this helps.

    Hmm you may be onto something. At first I thought it must be a separate issue, since I'm using a brand new install of Windows, Steam and Starbound (all done today) but it might be a cloud save of the config file causing the issue. It's something to check at least, many thanks.

    EDIT: Hooray for divine intervention. Update fixed my issue before i could disable cloud saves and wipe the local config. Has everyone checked for updates and still experiencing issues?
