So, show of hands for how many people noticed this. That green haired guy that Tiy uses in a lot of the gameplay vids, the one he showed in this pic:

How many people noticed that was Cilan from Pokémon: Black/White?

 

He looks a bit like him, due the color of the hair and the clothes.
My wife thought the same thing

Although I don't think the character is made to look like Cilan, I guess it was a coincidence.

interesting find good sir, i haven't seen much of any of the newer pokemon episodes(or any since like the first season or so back in the day) so i wouldn't even recognize the similarities d:

 

I don't watch the anime, but I still play the games. My friend was actually the one to point it out to me.

 

I think he's trying to point out the fact that he has feminine qualities and he's male even though there are many flamboyant males in anime's but for some reason this ones surprises him.

 

I thought he was wearing a dress. Looked up his two brothers and realized its a waiter's uniform. Why? Because they are all named for foods?

 

They're waiters. The pokémon gym thay're the leaders of doubles as a restaurant. Also, yeah, because they're all named for herbs.

 

So there's one named Mary-Juan? Right? See what I did there? Hmmmmm?

 

I'm a Pokemon fan (games only) and I haven't caught on to that. Good eye.

 

I didn't. Honestly I still prefer the old Pokemon. Although in my opinion none of them are really very good... They're alright though.
