I think I understand what eluosidahan was referring to. I think its about when a bed or some kind of furniture is near a wall, you
can interact with the object (Not necessarily near a door even) from outside the room. This essentially allows players to pass through the wall / floor.
I've noticed this prior and just ignored it. Its a minor technical glitch in my opinion.

Well, if you have an issue with that, then you should also have an issue with the ability to mine through blocks without breaking the blocks directly infront of you.
Its just a game mechanic which I doubt will be addressed. Most games that have mechanics like this don't put too much effort into the animation of interacting with objects and make it an instant action. Its much simpler.
I suppose they could make objects non-interactable if there's something blocking your path, but then they may as well change the whole mining mechanic. Sounds like too much work.

 

This is a rather a low key bug. I've documented it. Seems like an minor issue with pathing.
