Hyotyl Lore Thread

Hopefully we will be able to get some more hyotyl lore.
(I know this is so small, but hopefully things will be added)

 

What is this?

Lore for Ants?

 

All I want to know is if they're sea dwellers or not.
Their name are obviously based off axolotls which are sea-dwellers. However all the time in IRC people are calling them desert dwellers, I need a straight answer damnit!

 

Atlantis reference perhaps?

 

A fall? Anybody hurt? Oh no!

 

No, they're definitely talking about autumn.

 

Then they may not be a 100% Underwater race. They live underwater but with a similar surface-atmosphere.

It needs to be at least.... THREE times bigger than this!

 

And thus did the great castles of the Hylotl shogunate crumble from the cliffs into the darkest depths of the sea. As the houses of the once-mighty feudal lords drowned amid that inky blackness, the common amphibian did cheer, for it was the dawn of a new era for this proud aquatic people.

This is all a guess. Still, kind of a cool mental image.

Where could the Hyotyl have literally fallen from? It's gotta be a civilization thing.

 

Perhaps the Hylotl were pushed into the sea by a rival race. Then one day they rose up and retook the land.

 

It's been confirmed that the starter gear for hylotl helps to breath longer underwater, although it seems they would be able to breathe endlessly, but hey, maybe they're more amphibian then fish.

 

Dude i was there with you, i wasn't shure he was being serious.

 

Even though this is just a small tidbit about what might be coming, it does make me wonder about them. Perhaps the fall can relate to a breaking up of Hylotl clans? Perhaps they were the dominant spacefaring race until they were brought down by the other races in a revolt? I'm curious to see if the majority of Hylotl are going to be viewed by the other races as good or bad. So many questions!
