Hylotls or Florans or any race?

Florans The Savage do anything you want plant race that are cannibals.

Hylotls The peaceful but sometimes are jerks fish amphibians that are proud of their art, Beauty, and Japanese.


I wonder if the Florans are Koreans when their civilzation are giving up on cannibalism?

That would be stupid Right? Or issss it?



Why Floran are hostile and some of the outcasts are friendly?

Why the Hylotls are jerks or sometimes nice?

What i like is both. They war with each other, They beat their butts off, sometimes they have funny names like Twerk.

For Ex: TwerkFish

I wonder what happens if you combine 2 of them into one?


Or convince both of them to have a peace treaty?

Hylotls or Florans, You decide!

 

The florans are savage aggresive plant people, but also suprisingly intelligent when they can focus enof to do something other then stabbing stuff (a normal tribal savage wouldent be able to salvage parts of other space ships and fix them togheter in a working condition, then we have dr.greenfinger thats floran and a freaking genius).

It should also be mentioned that they only practice cannabalism during certain traditional rituals. They dont generally do it.

Some florans seeks to get away from the general populations savage ways, the florans you run into at floran villages seems to be mostly the more enlightened friendly florans.


The Hylotl's seem to be extremly arrogant in their ways, but on the otherhand them seem to be sincere in their wish for peace and trying to teach other races what they consider to be superior ways of living (even if other races tend to be upset when they are treated somewhat like children).

 

I think in the end Florans are the superior race, they're adorable, horrible killing machines and they aren't delicious when fried and breaded

 

Florans are cool. They are a pretty new race though, so you got to give them time on concepts like sentience, ethics and "Shouldn't eat talking animals".

I think it would be fun to play a pacifist Hylotl, though I'm not sure you can really avoid fighting bosses in the current build?

If you play as a Hylotl, you are a "peace missionary", but, one of the spawned hylotl npcs will tell you: "You can relax around me. I know about the directive." Something interesting is going on.

I primarily like floran, but do like the architecture of the hylotl.

personality-wise the average floran I would rather be, than an average hylotl.

I like both for different reasons. I do like floran architecture as well. I like the variety in buildings and sort of all the races that have them. Can't say much on novakids, as not much has been put forth in vanilla game concerning them yet.

Don't like eating hylotl, because they taste too fishy to me. Not fond of fish... Since I usually not average floran, I probably not quite like cousins....

 

Just a quick note, Floran do take part in Funeral Cannibalism. So at least some Floran do eat the Sssalad.

So far I like the florans the best. I may not be super fond of their species highly aggresive ways, but your own character is seeking another path and you can choose to play them as they please. I like the uniqueness of plant people. They're in other games, but not nearly as overdone as humans, pointy eared humans, different colored humans, and different sized humans. They are very good at surviving and persisting in the face of all odds, they're clever, and as a species, they're learning. They also have a lot of lore and I've also always loved building tree based houses in games so that makes their architecture my favorite so far. Their artwork is interesting and their sprites are cute.

The hylotl have far less lore available thus far so it's harder to get to know them. I like that they are a playable fish race. I like ocean planets and may form more opinions once I find a hylotl town (don't think those are in yet but am not sure). I like their art but am not particularly fond of their sprites. They go from elegent fish people to frogs in their sprite (my personal opinion). They are rather condescending but as no race is all of one extreme or another you can play your character however you want. Your hylotl doesn't appear to have a reason to be stuck with their ship in bad repair other than neglect (either that or their opening was not interesting enough for me to remember). They aren't related to nova kids so I doubt it was inattention/bad memory so what happened?

Hylotl are alright, but they just don't grab my imagination as the florans do as of yet.

 

I have a backstory for my floran.
One day a considerable amount of time ago, Mirrell was taken on a ritual hunting trip by her father. They were out until the binary suns had long set, and when they came home, they found the entire village burnt to the ground. Their neighbors and Mirrell's mother had been staked, thrown onto massive spikes and then burned in the ensuing arson. She was traumatized, and pretty much swore to never fall to such savagery she was heading for before it occurred.

 

"FLORAN HATE YOU FISH!"

 

My favorite races in order: Apex, Agaran, Floran, Avian, Human, Novakid, Glitch, and Hylotl. Apex are my favorite mainly because I cn relate to them; a beacon of intelligence in an endless sea of morons. Of the Hylotl and the Floran, however, I like the Florans better. They're like babies; murderous, viscious babies.

 

On the Floran VS Hylotl war, I'm definitely on the side of the Florans. As people say, survival of the fittest. We humans hunt for food (not so much anymore as we did before but still) murdering tons of animals. That makes us no different from the Florans. But then again I'm sure Hylotls are much smarter than cows or pigs.

...Also I suppose it helps that the adorable-ness of the Florans has gotten to me and now I'm attracted to them.

Wait, wrong universe.
So yeah, I like the Glitch more. Although they are medieval robots, self-aware Glitches are maybe the most intelligent beings in the galaxy. And they don't taste good to florans.

(And robots are freaking awesome)
