Hylotl/Floran Relations (Unanswered Lore)

This is a lore question that's been haunting me forever and is probably hidden in unwritten lore text that'll come about with the Hylotl town/base releases... But here it goes.

So the Hylotl hate the Floran for having taken their home world, right?

But the bigger question is what instigated that, and why do the Floran hate the Hylotl as such in counter as if they're the greater offenders? Besides, yanno; Petty one-sided logic since Floran are kinda barbaric and quick to confuse and offend. One of them mentions Greenfinger telling them that Hylotl are their enemies, and he's one of the more intelligent members.

There's more to it, there has to be. Out of all the worlds the Floran could've attacked, why a mostly saltwater aquatic world that does not prove to have any habitable advantage to PLANTS?

And raise a dozen more. There's a conspiracy against the Hylotl. They had something that was a big enough threat to the Miniknog.

 

The real reason the Floran attack anything is for the hunt, though. To hunt and to eat, those things are both Floran. They're kind of like locusts, and that's why they make sense as a player race in my mind - Players descend on the planet, take everything of value, and lift off, never to be seen again.

 

Hey you just perfectly described my MO as a Floran in this game, what an incredible coincidence.

Honestly though if the average Floran is a tenth as horrible as I am, then the Florans actually like the Hylotl, they just occasionally get in the way when I'm busy demolishing their city (And everything nearby, or underneath, or above) for the prettyfull building blocks.

 

Still feel there's a bit more depth to it than Floran ravaging. They went to the extent of destroying a world that they had no lore-based advantage to. (being that it's all water and the Floran don't seem advantageous to it) I'm looking at them from their story perspective rather than gameplay. Every character is capable of the same strip mining and worldbuilding.

I just want to know what happened during that unfaithful day.

I totally don't have a warehouse of Floran artifacts stripped from their tree homes, nope.

 

In a note totally unrelated to my Hylotl character in game, several planets have had their floran denizens wiped out totally.
