I really love the mech on this game, too bad it's completely useless on current beta phase. Here are few suggestions of mine for the mech: - the player should be able to modify the guns on the mech by installing their ranged weapon on the mech - the mech movement can be upgraded with dash or pulse jump, and maybe speed upgrade too with tech / blueprints - add a melee type mech with customized melee weapon - add more mech types such as medic, transport, carriage, miner, etc
Something I still don't get about mechs is when you take damage its not reduced in anyway (or at least it seems that way to me) maybe upgrading the mechs like you upgrade armour would make it so that you would take less damage or something. Right now when you use the mech you just make yourself a bigger target to hit.
Have the mech's capability affected by the tier and type of your currently equipped items. Armor: Each piece of armor adds to the tier of the mech's defensive stats. Copper-Iron-Silver-Steel-Gold-Titanium-Durasteel-etc. Copper = +10% armor rating. +3% chance to block projectiles. Iron = +15% armor rating. +6% chance to block projectiles. etc. For damage and weapon buff... It can be based on the currently equipped weapon's stats. For starters, left click is always machine guns, and right click should be a missile launcher. The weapon's DPS affects the multiplier of said weapon's damage. 0~20 = Machine gun damage of 3. Missile launcher damage of ~20. 21~40 = Machine gun damage of 6. Missile launcher damage of ~40. 41~60 = Machine gun damage of 9. Missile launcher damage of ~60. 61~80 = Machine gun damage of 12. Missile launcher damage of ~80. 81~100 = Machine gun damage of 15. Missile launcher damage of ~100. So while machine gun damage is static, the missile launcher damage is up to it's value. If you aren't equipping any weapons, or the dps is lower than your progress, the game matches the mech's damage to your sector unlocks. So alpha = ~20 Beta = ~40 etc They have fixed rate of fire.
