Apex give light chuckle. "Human women easssy. Apex women harder, more ssstrict. Tell not ex...per...ee.....
Expertiment on misssbehave youngling. Tell not keep once frog abomilation in fridge."
"Women!" Floran sssay again. Both Human and Apex look at Floran funny.

"What women?" Floran asssk.

Human and Apex not invite Floran for drink again.

Judging by the likes the pic has I guess only the ones who have been around the forums for a long time get the joke ^^

The barkeeper looks up and says "Is this some kind of joke?"

 

"No," says the Floran, "thisss really isssss a sssstick-up."

A human, apex, and floran walk into a bar.

The barkeeper, who was a Hylotl, quickly pulls out a knife made of sushi at the sight of the floran. The floran quickly builds a large hadron collider to scare away the large group of gazelles in the bar, knowing that a fight was about to happen. The Hylotl rips off his skin, revealing that he was Nicholas Cage all along! He bites down on his sushi knife, instantly turning it into Californium! (That's a real element) The apex jumps back in horror. He slips and accidentally cannibalizes his entire race. Nicholas Cage leaps out from behind the table with his kangaroo feet. He throws the knife at the floran, but Santa flew in the way and got hit instead. After settling their differences, Santa and Cage become a team. The floran quickly sets the hadron collider to self-destruct and the three run out. They jump out the door as an epic firey explosion is produced behind them. The apex looked back and saw Santa and Nicolas Cage flying away on their atomic sled.

A Human, an Apex, and a Floran walk into a bar. The Apex tries do drown his sorrows, but when that fails he decides to just shoot himself and end it all. The Human gets really drunk and goes berserk, throwing his bar stool and smashing everything while ranting on about tentacles. The Florn gets really drunk and kills everybody. The end.

I hope you weren't expecting a joke. Sorry if I disappointed you, I just a) have a VERY dark sense of humor and b) have very morbid thoughts streaming through my head.

 

Okay, I think we've successfully established that humour is a resource that is not easily found, not even deeeeep underground. Cultural jokes work with context about the cultures, and the fantasy races of starbound lack that context.

A Human, an Apex, a Floran and a Hylotl walk into a bar. By the time they are seating, the first three are eating fried fish.

There was also a Novakid, but he stopped at the door trying to remember his own name.

 

That Floran was later found vomiting behind the Bar after the Human and Apex attempted to explain to it the intricacies of physical relations.

 

The two events, however, are unrelated: they also told him to never order the fish on Fridays, but he was so convinced he was being served Hylotl that they couldn't dissuade him.
