How to transfer character to 1.3 "Unstable"?

    I just did my first playthrough of the game, and was going to try to get mechs and build a space station, when I realized those were only in the new update. I really don't want to have to redo all the quests to get access to the new features, so is there a way to transfer my character and progress? Thanks!

    Copy the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Starbound\storage
    Then paste it to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Starbound - Unstable

    Your save files will be migrated seamlessly.
