How do I scan items into the 3d printer?

I would love to figure that out too.
Also if someone could quickly tell me how to get better equipment/blueprints then silver armor and steel weapons I would be really glad. Do I have to take off to other planet and look for some NPC merchant to buy them?

Some schematics can be found in chests or villages. So check every container you find.

I looted a bunch of items from a dungeon, went back up to the ship, dropped one of them onto the little red bit next to the 'scan' button and hit scan. It worked! Item gone, and a new schematic that I can print.

Only after that did I notice that scanning an item costs pixels. Quite a lot of pixels. I wasn't that attached to the Avian Statue I'd just scanned either. Ah well.

So I guess you can olny print furniture and things like that then.

Also, do you know about any higher tier things? Can I make some better armor then silver (if so then how) or do I have to loot them all?
Also can you hint me if there is a way to obtain fuel? I'm a little lost at figuring stuff out at the moment.

I think that different items have different pixel amounts to print.

    sources of fuel are Wood 1 : 1, coal 1 : 2
the 3D printer from what I can gather only works with decorations, you pay pixels to add an item(lose the item), then can pay more to buy additional copies.
Higher than silver is gold, and I know platinum exists. but I dont know much of them.

You can scan everything that's worth some pixel, so if it's showing 0x pixel below the item then you can't scan and print it. I tried it with some stuff I found in a dungeon.
Also a word of advice, the number that shows up next to the item when scanning is the scanning price in pixel, just trying to spare people the situation I had where I spent all my pixel from the dungeon scanning things cause I didn't know, I took it for a chance indication cause it was always 50-75.

As Delusions said, wood or coal can be found on the starting planet to fuel the ship - once you do start flying around, be sure to check the Threat Level of whatever planet you decide to head to next. The planet you start on when you create a character is level 1. So you can imagine what a level 9 planet might be like!
