Modding Discussion How to safely mod existing Charakters?

    Hay there.

    I saw a lot of people adding awesome mods to the game, but almost every mod requires to create a new charakter, because player.config was patched or other files that only apply on uniqe game stages. Which makes it impossible to apply a mod after that stage.

    as far as i know there is no kind of "player_join.config" which is loaded on each join, where you can "op" : "add" scripts, recipes, effects, techs?

    The idea behind this is, that you can apply almost any mod at any time. Also it might be a good idea to allow adding temporary recipes/effects/scripts/tech an whatever there, because this should prevent modders leaving a corruptet player file after uninstalling a mod (at least in most cases).

    IMO this would be an awesome modding improvement, wouldn't it?

    BTW does someone know if there is a charakter editor? Where u can see all the stats thatare saved (I know there are HEX editors but i would prefer a more "natural" one.)
