How to kill players motivation to play

Have recurring wipes of saved data.
Have 0 character security so any 12 year old with a packet editor can easily ruin any game on any server.
Wipe save files again just to be sure.

Hey there buddy, I see you're complaining about a game that's clearly in beta and has had its reasons for wipes explained. So uh... what the hell do you want?

 

How to kill peoples' motivation to respond constructively to your ideas:

1) Have a really bad idea.
2) Ignore large, flashing neon signs that say don't do something.
3) Do that thing anyway.
4) Complain about the results.

You could consider reading this post to see how the Beta is going to work for the game you agreed to.

You could also look at the Launcher, which states that character wipes are not only possible, but expected. World wipes, too. And, since you're here, ***wipes are possible as well.

Here, I'll give you a summary:

 

I love it when twelve year olds buy a beta expecting a finished game, and complain that there are some features missing.

 

I love people defending a horrible business model.

Oh please..When i bought this game there was ZERO mention of any wipes ever happening, anyone who got the game early enough was treated to that "extra now with more Wipes mode" after they bought the game.

 

Don't call down 12 year olds, I know plenty of people at that age who are wonderful.
