Im trying to download this mod but its a .modpak, and i cant find any tutorials on how to install it properly, can anyone explain how?
Hello Everybody, that is pretty simple. Just copy the .modpak file into your mod folder. Have fun, a nice Day/Night and Joy and Happiness Panthera Pardus
so i just plop that zip file into the mod file? or do i "extract here" first and just leave it there?
Hello Everybody, first you have to extract the zip file. Then copy the .modpak file. Have fun, a nice Day/Night and Joy and Happiness Panthera Pardus
Ok i just want to be sure, this picture shows that i extracted here the files, and as you said all i have to do is copy those 2 files and thats it? just say yes if that is what i have to do,otherwise explain specifically :
Hello Everybody, I am sorry, maybe my explanation was a little bit short. Where you extract the zip file doesn't matter, important is that you just place/copy the .modpak file into your mod folder. Therefore, you can delete the zip file in your screenshot, but you don't have to. Have fun, a nice Day/Night and Joy and Happiness Panthera Pardus P.S.: Short answer: Yes
When you download G-Hooks+, its a .modpack filetype. You just drop that straight into starbound\mods folder. If that does't work for you for some reason, you need to contact the mod author. He will likely ask for your starbound.log file so he can see whats wrong.
The .modpak file extension was made obselete in 1.0. The game merely reads an unrecognized file in the directory, then skips it. Packed mods now go by .pak, unified with the base game assets' packed form. Supposing the mod is fully compatible with the current version, just renaming the extension from .modpak to .pak works. (I tested this a minute ago, it doesn't corrupt the mod files in any way.)
