Modding Help How to fix mods broken in Stardew Valley 1.2

Thanks! Looks like the mailbox is just a birthday notification then. Maybe that mod isn't compatible. Any idea why the quest log wouldn't be working either?

 

Because 1.2 changes quest structure a ton, and old 1.11 quests that are not updated to the new 1.2 format will not work properly, and this does include vanilla quests >_<

 

Chimpanzee, as Entoarox mentioned the quest structure changed a lot. And, it was broken. I did some fiddling, and the quest seems to work now. I left the letter in your mailbox though; so you can test out the Birthday mod when upgraded. Or ignore it, but yea the mail issue seems to be a birthday letter from Pierre.

I have tried to use Save Anywhere with the workaround instructions in the OP:

but it was disabled by SMAPI when i played next. Can you advise on what I may have done wrong? If a newer solution is somewhere here and I missed it, I apologize for a duplicate question.

 

It's not been disabled, that's just SMAPI's warning that it will be outdated in future versions of SMAPI. It should be working fine in game.

Gift Taste Helper is now unofficially updated (see the first post), and I sent a pull request to the author to update it.

 

@Nova25 I added an unofficial update for Prairie King Made Easy, and sent a pull request to the author.

 

Iv'e recently been getting this error for CJB Item spawner. Whenever I try to use it the spawner immediatly closes when I hover over an item.

All my files are updated to their most recent and I included what other mods I have installed. Iv'e even tried Uninstall/reintstalling it. Most people say it works fine for them.

PS I'm a noob to forums and such so if I'm just being stupid ignore me.

my guess is the mod tried to process the new descriptions all at once and couldn't? but oh well, its fixed.

 

First of all: Thank you, @Pathoschild for all the hard work you put into updating the mods.

I just noticed that "Gift Taste Helper" doesn't affect my calendar / billboard when I have "Calendar Anywhere" in my game, too. I works fine when I play the game in English but as soon as I switch to another language (German in my case) it doesn't. I'm not quite sure but I think it's because of the language changed calendar entries. If it's not too complicated to update again I would be very happy

If there's an update or a fix for Extended Fridge I haven't seen it..
Additionally the author seems to be absent and to my understanding it isn't open source.
Is there another mod with a similar function?

 

@ItsaJello I don't know of another mod that extends the fridge, but the main list in this thread suggests a similar mod that lets you put ingredients in kitchen chests:

 

Hello hello! I've noticed that Stardew Notification and Happy Birthday mods are getting the "this will break in a future version of SMAPI". Is that something to be worried about now, or not until the release of an SMAPI update that breaks them?

The only friend that I play with is out of town till next week but I will try again sometime next week and post the log as it is empty right now
