I seem to remember there being a way, like a cost multiplier or something. Of course setting the cost per shot directly would be perfect but i don't know if thats possible. To me it looks like the Starbound engine just calculates the cost based on fire rate and weapon damage, but since projectiles can be scripted now that system seems horribly outdated.
it's in the leveling/levelingmultipliers.functions though be carefull this will affect all the weapons in the game.
If you use the *.activeitem format for your weapon, then it is directly changable. There is a setting for it.
Guess I will have to try that. Shame that i can't just use the .gun format since its so simple to use.
The activeitem format is easy too, plus it allows for alt abilities if you wish. The old format is going to be phased out over time.
Is it gonna be phased out completely? For all items, so there are only activeitems? Hmm then it may be worth it to learn this new format.
Basically, yes. I don't think they are going to remove functionality of the old way, but their plan is moving everything over to the activeitem format for consistancy.
