Modding Help How to Change Character & Animal Sprites?

I've been looking around for anything that would tell me how to change the sprites of certain characters and animals. I've made my own sprites for the game but have no idea how to put them in. Could someone tell me what needs to be done to implement the images?

Looks great! There's really not much I can do to help
For convenience, I removed the white background and packed the mod* for you to test. I did notice that there was no shadow beneath your cat (unlike the vanilla sprite), which might make it look funny in-game. Just a note in case you want to add it in.

As for packing / unpacking mods, I'd suggest looking at this thread and creating some .bat files to speed up the process. It's very simple once you get the hang of it!
