Two questions, will the beta be available on steam, and will multiplayer be supported for the beta, specificially local multi.
Sorry if this question has been asked already, but how will we go about reporting bugs? Is there going to be a forum that we have to post to?(Such as Pre Order / Beta Support) Or will we post them on a different site such as atlassian? Will there be rules to prevent post redundancy of common occurring bugs? Ahh, I see. Thank you!
It will be on Steam, and multiplayer will be in the beta (though I'm not sure if it'll be available straight away). It's yet to be determined. The staff will probably be adding a beta-specific forum section, but it's possible there may also be an internal method of reporting bugs.
Well then, other then general info about how a beta works (which any decent gamer would know) there is nothing new. See you all in december! *closes tab*
Very few games (in my experience any who) have ever released before the "Maximum-Time-Given" by the developers/company. It's simply history my good sir. To be honest, this big "announcement" is just the 3-month-out stir. Gotta get the hype train started back up before they release anything, or else no one is going to play it. BF3, Minecraft, GW2, almost any game ever, gets hyped as it's developed. With big intervals of "news" to ensure the community is still paying attention. Meaning, we will most likely not be getting our hands on anything until December 31st on the dot. Why else would the post be exactly 3 months out? However, if they for some reason break the game-devloper 'code' and blind side us next week with the beta, I'll toss them $20 out of my pay pal account. And you can hold me to that.
Ya sound like a conspiracy theorist! Hype for Starbound has been bursting at the seams for months now, so the update could be nothing but practical. I give it a week, two at tops. ^^
