Well there goes my productivity. Now then time to get down to the business of finding bugs that will bug out guard spawning so I can have a entire army after me
Wait for beta since summer. @ Take this piece of non-optimizated shit. Just normal for Chucklefish, not normal for players.
1, 2, 3 stages yea baby! Do ALL the stages! But I'm mostly excited because I just got starbound! Soon Spidy, soon, it will be out. I'm so proud. ( : '|
Stage one for me! I love finding bugs in games, like in cube world i found a bug that launches your pet into orbit.
I don't get it, you thought Beta was going to be perfect and without problems? Geez, you really can't make everyone happy
Awesome. I probably won't be able to play at all in Stage 1, but I promise to test the crap out of the bottom-end computer optimisation of Stage 2.
For all of you asking "how could they not take part in stage 1" - Tiy wrote this of the sole purpose of reinforcing their positions against people who will (or will not) condemn unfinished game because of it being unfinished. Now all they need to do is point people towards the post where it clearly says about possible bugs. Now. I fully intend to participate in stage 1. Though my feedback will be limited - from my experience, people are usually beating me to find all bugs, unless I test something specifically, which, again, takes quite a lot of time. I also intend to participate in mod creation from the start, assuming I have the ability to do it during first stages.
MUHAHAHAHAHAHA sweet sweet victory is close at hand screw it if its got bugs those bugs don't scare me let me at them muhahahahahaha
I have some experience in testing and development. The best thing to do is try to give as much detail as you can on what happened when the bug occurred, what steps you took - if you can repeat the bug a second time and write the steps down that's really great, take a screenshot of the issue happening or any error messages, note your system information - you can google ways to get a system report for your machine specs/drivers/etc. and you save that file and reuse it for each bug (if you change something just rerun the reports), note other details like running other programs and game settings - if there's a build version number note that. If they add a bug report system in game some of this might be done for you automatically. And never forget the most important part of testing, HAVE FUN!
I haven't read the 23 pages of comments but.. Is this going to be distributed through Steam or it'll be a more "local" setup through, say, this website?
I keep on having dreams about the beta being released. Last night I even dreamed that it would be released today. It may not have been released, but we sure are getting closer. BETA AHOY!
